Zonda Tec Ghana, a professional heavy-duty vehicle trading company has donated food items and other Personal Protective Equipment to two institutions as part of efforts to help stem the spread of the novel Coronavirus in Ghana.
The beneficiary institutions include the Tema Regional Police Command and the Tema Remar Children’s Home.
Items such as drinks, water, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, hand gloves, bags of rice, gallons of oil and biscuits were presented to support the policemen and women and orphans in the Tema enclave to aid their fight in eradicating the global COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Human Resource Manager of Zonda Tec Ghana, Nana Afua Frimpong presented the items on behalf of Zonda Tec Ghana on Thursday, 16 April 2020.
Speaking at the presentation, she said, “The outbreak of the novel Coronavirus has brought to bear the need for all of us; government, corporate entities, private sector and individuals to work together for the common and greater good of our country. Unity is vital to overcoming challenges in this period. Our donation to the Tema Regional Police Command is therefore reflective of the company’s mission to invest in our environment.”
DCOP Akrofi-Oyirifi Edward Johnson of the Tema Regional Police who received the items on behalf of the Police Command was grateful to the company for the gesture.
